How it all started...
Our church started out in the home of Johnny & Cheryl Withrow in August of 1984 in Charleston, WV. It was started under the name Christian Fellowship Church. After multiple moves, in December of 1989, the Lord provided a “ram in the thicket” with our own building at 3919 39th St in Nitro. Pastor Johnny & Cheryl led the congregation until Pastor Johnny’s death in January 2007.
Continuing the vision...
Pastor Mike Ramsey, by Pastor Johnny’s final wishes, was appointed Senior Pastor. The church began to grow in number as well as property on 39th St in Nitro. As the church grew, it was apparent to all that a larger location was needed. In August of 2012, the church acquired the former FasChek Supermarket building at 402 Main Ave in Nitro. In August 2013, we had our first service in the new location.
Where we are headed...
God continued to grow the congregation and its individual ministries to appoint that another move was necessary. On April 1, 2021, we entered into an agreement to purchase the former Scarlet Oaks Golf Course and Wellington’s Restaurant in Poca. On November 7, 2021, we had our first service in our new location. God has done incredible things in our ministry as we continue to grow in His purpose.
